All too often passwords are exposed. As such, we recently implemented additional security features around passwords to keep your account safe.

'''Incorrect Password Lockout:'''If a user enters the wrong password 5 consecutive times within a 60 minute period, their user account will be locked for 60 minutes. Once the user account is locked, the user will be sent an email that will have a link that they can click on to unlock their user account.

'''Password Change Requirement:'''Each company account within LIVE has a setting to determine how often a user must change their password. All accounts are defaulted to zero, indicating the feature is disabled. When enabled, if the user hasn’t changed their password within the required number of days, they won’t be able to connect to the account until they use the [[Change Password]] functionality to update their password. Below are instructions on how to enable this feature (you must be an Admin on your company account to make changes to this feature):

In Live Control in the upper right hand corner click “ Account Summary”

Click “View” next to the company account

Click “Edit” in the pop-up window

Enter the number of days you want to require the users to change their passwords

Click “Save”

'''Password Complexity Requirements:'''Users now need to have a password that meets the following requirements (Existing passwords will still work, these new requirements will apply when the user changes their password):

At least 10 characters long

Need to use at least 3 types of characters:

Uppercase letter(s)

Lowercase letter(s)

Number

Special symbols ($%&*)
